Vivek Oberoi: KLPD is an extension to EK CHALIS KI LAST LOCAL

While KISMAT LOVE PAISA DILLI a.k.a. KLPD is now less than a month away from release, it's lead actor Vivek Oberoi is all praise for the film's director Sanjay Khanduri with whom he is making a comeback of sorts, two years after RAKHT CHARITRA.

"I know that 'genius' is a big word but Sanjay is indeed one," says Vivek, "He has got an ability to create these quirky mad situations which borderline on reality and only make you look at the characters and think ki yaar aise bhi shaayad log hote hain. A gripping story, it makes you feel engaged and still manages to say such a beautiful thing in the end. Hats off to him."

No doubt, he feels that KLPD is several notches higher when compared to the director's last film EK CHALIS KI LAST LOCAL (starring Abhay Deol) that had fetched all around critical acclaim on its release.

"Yes, in a way you can say that the film is a right extension to EK CHALIS KI LAST LOCAL. Having said that, it was an adventure film and that's about it. It didn't really have any deeper thing to say and was basically at the periphery. It was meant to entertain you instead of giving you thoughts that you could ponder over. However KISMAT LOVE PAISA DILLI, while keeping that flavour of a mad journey intact, has in addition some sort of deeper message to it as well that you can take home. It is not just entertainment but way beyond that," Vivek details his film.

Well, we would like to see that when this Amit Chandrra production releases all over on 5th October 2012.
