Kareena happy for Salman's success

Mumbai, Sep 10 (IANS) Kareena Kapoor is happy that Salman Khan's "Ek Tha Tiger" has done good business at the box office and says she and her beau, Saif Ali Khan, are not at all comparing it with their film "Agent Vinod".

"Agent Vinod" didn't do well at the box office, while "Ek Tha Tiger" has done roaring business at the ticket window.

Asked if she is upset with a lukewarm response to "Agent Vinod", Kareena said: "Both, Saif and I don't think that way. We both are fans of Salman. He is the tiger of the industry... we can't think of anything that way."

"Salman is great. Saif made 'Agent Vinod' straight from his heart. It was his dream," Kareena said.

Saif is the son of late cricketer and Nawab of Pataudi, Mansoor Ali Khan Pataudi, who was fondly called Tiger Pataudi.

"Agent Vinod" was Saif's debut production and featured some daring stunts.

KJo has captured youth's spirit in SOTY, says writer

"Student Of The Year" (SOTY) writer Niranjan Iyengar says director Karan Johar has a finger on the pulse of the youth, and he has rightly captured it in the film.

"The biggest contribution to the film is by Karan. I don't think the film is about dialogue, screenplay, cinematography and editing. It is about the spirit of youth that Karan is trying to project," Iyengar told IANS.

Johar's vision for the film, on the lives of three youngsters, essayed by newcomers Sidharth Malhotra, Alia Bhatt and Varun Dhawan, was very clear since the beginning of the project.

"We were so clear about the vision that the rest of us had to only follow his brief," said Iyengar.

SOTY will hit screens Oct 19.
