Johnny Depp and Vanessa Paradis officially announce split

London, June 20 (ANI): Johnny Depp and partner Vanessa Paradis have officially separated after 14 years of togetherness.

Ending months of speculation about their relationship, a representative for the couple confirmed that the Hollywood A-list couple have parted ways "amicably".

"Johnny Depp and Vanessa Paradis have amicably separated," the Mirror quoted the representative as telling Us magazine.

"Please respect their privacy and, more importantly, the privacy of their children," the representative said.

The couple never married, but have two children together Lily-Rose, 13, and son Jack, 10.

Depp, 49, and French singer Paradis, 39, have kept their relationship extremely private, refusing to acknowledge a split despite rumours that they've been living separate lives for months.

Speaking about why they never got married in the past, the actor had said in 2010 that he didn't need somebody to say that you are married.

"I never found myself needing that piece of paper," he had said.

"Marriage is really from soul to soul, heart to heart. You don't need somebody to say, okay you're married," he had said. (ANI)
