Imran Khan: EK MAIN AUR EKK TU is urban JAB WE MET

Glamsham Editorial

Actor Imran Khan feels that his upcoming film EK MAIN AUR EKK TU is very similar to Kareena Kapoor's earlier popular film JAB WE MET. Imran believes that EMAET has an urban setting, but apart from that the spirit of the film is similar to the Shahid Kapoor and Kareena Kapoor starrer JAB WE MET.

JAB WE MET was a story of two people who come from different worlds, affect each other and change each other forever. The film was entirely shot in India. While the setting of EK MAIN AUR EKK TU is extremely urban and set in Las Vegas and Mumbai, it can be grasped from the film's promos that Imran and Kareena fall in love and later understand that they share very few things in common and are two very different persons.

What's most interesting is that Imran Khan feels that Riana (Kareena's character in EMAET) is almost an urban face of Geet (Kareena's character in JAB WE MET). She is free spirited, bubbly and a go getter in life. She changes everyone that she meets in life.

Imran says, "EK MAIN AUR EKK TU is urban JAB WE MET. The journey and the relationship graph of both the films are almost identifiable. In fact if we were to treat it in spirit only then almost a sequel or a younger film set in urban milieu. Kareena Kapoor's Geet has been an iconic character and almost a turning point in her career. I strongly feel her character Riana is almost similar and would do the same with much urban audience."
